Last December my wife Julie and I began doing some research on the McCall area. We were interested in buying either a second home or land to build a second home near lake Payette. The Google search on “the best realtor” in the area came back as James Boley of McCall Real Estate Company. I called Jim and he made the entire process so easy. Jim listened, he made good suggestions for our consideration about both homes and land options and never at any point during the process did he pressure us to make a hard decision. My wife Julie and I made several trips up to the McCall area and found Jim very easy to work with on each trip. Jim was patient, informative and always left the door of possibilities open for us to consider rather than try and corner us into a final decision on any properties. Even after we closed escrow, on the land we decided to buy, Jim continued to work hard for us helping us with our questions as well as research on architects and builders that are now our next step. Purchasing in the McCall market is difficult enough in the post-pandemic world. On top of that, we were shopping from Oregon, which added further complexity. Jim was always available when we needed him, on one occasion, Jim dropped everything and drove through a snow storm to take exterior video of an upcoming listing we were interested in. I was really struggling with deciding whether or not to keep my condo and turn it into a vacation rental or sell. I got to know Jim through our Rotary Club, while he was its president. I knew Jim to be very focused and to simply "get things done". We were not disappointed with our home sale. We gave Jim our timeline for getting it sold. He respected it and worked hard to get the word out. He gave us good feedback for how to stage our home. Once it went under contract, he kept us in the loop, provided local contractor info for a couple repairs that were needed, and kept everything together when our signed closing papers got stuck in the mail and it delayed the close. Jim Boley was attentive to our desires to sell our lot in McCall, and gave us the latest market information to help us price. During the process, he even advertised it and held an "open house" with him onsite to enable prospects to see the excellent lake view. He also made some suggestions on clean up of brush to enhance the view to Payette Lake, recommended a service and oversaw that the work had been done (we're not local, so that was very helpful!)
